1. THE SERVICE
Real Oil Portraits provides premium, 100% hand-painted oil painting services, including custom portrait commissions and masterpiece reproductions.
All artworks are created by professional artists. We do not sell digital prints or machine-generated art.
2. PRICING & PAYMENT
Currency: Prices are displayed in your local currency based on your location. Final transaction amounts will be processed in the currency shown at checkout.
Payment Methods: We accept secure payments through Stripe (preferred), PayPal, and major Credit Cards.
Deposits: For custom commissions, a deposit is required to initiate the artistic process. This deposit is non-refundable once the sketching or painting has commenced.
Final Payment: Full payment of the balance must be settled prior to the dispatch of the finished artwork.
3. CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS & COPYRIGHT
Image Rights: By submitting a photograph for a custom commission, you confirm that you own the intellectual property rights or have obtained explicit permission for its reproduction as an oil painting.
Indemnity: You agree to indemnify Real Oil Portraits against any third-party claims arising from the unauthorized use of images provided by you.
Legality: We specialize in reproducing works that have entered the Public Domain, ensuring compliance with global copyright standards.
4. THE ARTISTIC PROCESS
Hand-Painted Nature: You acknowledge that each painting is a unique, handmade creation. Minor variations in color, texture, and detail are inherent to the artistic process and distinguish real oil paintings from mass-produced prints.
Color Accuracy: Due to variations in monitor settings and the nature of oil pigments, final painting colors may vary slightly from the digital preview on your screen.
5. PRODUCTION & GLOBAL SHIPPING
Timeline: Delivery schedules vary based on the complexity of the artwork and the necessary drying time. Estimated timelines provided are guides and may vary by region.
Packaging: We utilize professional, high-durability materials to ensure your artwork is protected during international transit.
Import Duties: Any customs duties, taxes, or import fees levied by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the customer.
6. CANCELLATIONS & REVISIONS
Revisions: For custom portraits, a photo preview of the painting may be provided upon completion. Minor adjustments can be requested at this stage before shipping.
Finality: Once a painting has been approved or dispatched, the sale is considered final.
Cancellation: If an order is cancelled after production has started, Real Oil Portraits reserves the right to retain the deposit to cover labor and material costs.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Real Oil Portraits shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order in question.
